How in the world does he manage to break a window with a newspaper?! The newspaper can’t be THAT hard. Maybe Red just has a really good throwing arm?
I have not had a kid as a paper carrier in a very long time. These days, my paper carrier has always been an adult with a car, not a kid walking or riding a bike.
Never broke (or even hit) any windows on my route, but did occasionally hit an aluminum storm door. Expect the folks inside didn’t appreciate the BAM.
@Laughingkitty – Please tip your paper delivery person well. They deliver papers 365 days a year in their own vehicle and have to have the brakes fixed often. They get complaints about late papers though it’s the newspaper’s fault for bringing them to the drivers late. They deliver in all kinds of weather including blizzards and never catch a break. For this they’re lucky to be tipped $5 at Christmas. Waitresses earn far more than this for serving one table one meal. Yes I speak from experience.
We just got kicked off from getting the Dalla Snooze. Too much trouble to deliver in the sticks, so find how to get the same information online and without the ads! I will only lose one comic strip and Love Is… is certainly expendable.

Given the size of our paper you couldn’t knock the fuzz off a dandelion

Don’t particularly care for Red’s breaking the window, then just taking off. I see a future hit-and-run driver in training.

Who knew that Red lived in the same neighborhood as the Brady Bunch?

These days grown men deliver it from their cars. Back then real children delivered morning and evening editions.
