Having adult children, you do want to rescue them like you could when they were small. The trick is not teaching them it’s ok to stumble, but teaching yourself it’s OK to let them.
Some kids never grow up because their parents never let them. Another reason is without a draft a lot of kids never enter the military which was a route for a lot of kids to finally grow up.

That’s pretty much exactly how it works. For some Moms, anyway.
You gotta understand: in their 20s, it was only a few weeks ago (in parent-brain time) that they were babies.
