I buy creamy to make my Peanut Butter Balls. For everything else, I buy chunky. It is great on my PB&J sandwiches, or on a spoon straight out of the jar, or even on toast.
I’ve alway been a creamy peanut butter nutter. I was brought up on Skippy ( my Dad’s favorite ) but somewhere along the line switched to Jiff.
Here in Ecuador, jars of peanut butter are expensive and hard to find, but you can buy the fresh, homemade versions, in plastic bags and containers cheaply in the mercados ( open markets ). Very popular for cooking but differs from jarred peanut butter, because it doesn’t have the sugars, additives and oils added. It’s more like a peanut paste.
.
Just remember: Man cannot live by bread alone….he must have peanut butter !
I prefer chunky but have to buy plain because it sticks in my teeth and then I have to dig it out. It tastes the same but it’s not as satisfying. I also prefer whole berry cranberry sauce to the smooth kind.

I don’t mind creamy PB or chunky PB, but I don’t like the PB that still has the peanut oil which you have to stir around.

I’m with Earl. Why, why, for all things holy, would anyone buy smooth peanut butter?

I’m a chunky lover myself. I have it almost every morning on my bagel with honey and cinnamon.

Or as I call it, “brown slime.” Just the smooth variety.

Peanut butter has to be chunky and contain the brown skins to be worthy of ending up in my cupboard.

I had no idea that there were people who didn’t like peanut butter. . .Do they still make Peter Pan Peanut Butter?

Peanut butter is like regular butter – smooth. If you want chunky, eat peanuts.
