This is brilliant, a great comic. Prescient and insightful, and funny. I confess that I, to this day at 60+, will not hang around anywhere that is playing schmaltzy elevator music. The stuff is soul-sucking. It never occurred to me that convenience stores would play it outside for that purpose. It probably should have. Music has always had a profound effect on me, even as a toddler.
Put Steve Bannon on Budweiser cans, and sales will drop like a paralyzed Pigeon! And you don’t need to put Bernie2 on the wall sections, just a great big picture of Donnie J. Dumpsterfire. People will take one look at THAT ugly, hateful mug, and turn around!
Yes, and the Australian government has just finished fighting a 5yr legal challenge in the WTO brought against it by the cigarette companies. Expect to see more of this in other countries now that the way has been cleared.
Not sure what would constitute “tacky clothes” these days, and for that matter, have you SEEN any tourists lately? Pretty sure none would be dissuaded by this requirement.

The guy on the cigarette pack is fabulous. The national monument is hilarious. No one will want to take pictures. And Bernie’s II is just sooo catty.

Talk about prophetic… some countries ARE doing that with their cigarettes, putting gross-out photos on the packaging as a more potent warning.

I remember Cancer™ Cigarettes. “Come to Cancer Country,” says the headline over a shot of a golfer hitting one out that landed on a gravestone.
