“…can’t just spend the first 40 years of your life…”

GT gives us this from a character of his who didn’t move beyond being a grade B skin flick actress until she was 30something-40

Good morning… hoping all had a good T-day.

It’s not a crowded here as it in Pib-space, which has given me a chance to look at things a bit more closely. Gweedo, must agree that Frida has best looking icon of the lot. Frida, is frrom a Botticellli? Or possibly one of the Dutch painters.

Anyway, I am off topic. What crosses my mind is some king of political movement among Boopsie, Joanine Caucaus and Alix.

Palin would be a disaster. If you think it can’t get any worse than Bush, think again.

If the best thing people have to complain about is getting pregnant out of wedlock in today’s society, then we have bigger problems. For heaven’s sake, she lost the election…let it go already. I don’t know why anyone including GT is still talking about Palin. How could anyone possibly know if she’d be a good or bad president? Since it will be four or even eight years before we even have to think about it, let it go. I have to think hard just to remember who Gore and Kerry’s running mates were.

Bush proved that all you need to do to win the election is to fool just enough voters to squeek into office…twice. If we can elect Bush we can elect Palin…scary thought…possible scary future.

“Seems to make her a total hypocrite, no?” – You’ll never get anybody to admit to hypocrisy where there are kids involved. We live in a world where liberals called for busing in public schools but sent their kids to private ones, and conservatives favoring the war in Vietnam got their own kids deferred. The human need to perceive ourselves as wise and good parents pretty much trumps anything. After all, we have two national holidays upon which parents are rewarded for good intentions and excused from poor results.

    To DesultoryPhillipic:

You have been roved: Because McCain was born in the Canal Zone, someone raised the question of his being unqualified because not “natural born”. Actually, that wasn’t a problem; but his spinmasters had to take a play out of Rove’s book and accuse Obama of something similar, in order to pre-empt and obfuscate. So they came up with the myth of Obama’s being unqualified, even though he was clearly born in Hawaii many months after it had become a state.

You not only have no idea what the world looks like; you also have no idea how it could look, and how it will look after a few years of hope instead of fear. People like you embrace Bu–sh–‘s fear tactics because being afraid is your natural state.

Simon and Garfunkel would be ashamed of you.

Obama’s birth certificate was certified. You could look it up or you could continue to utter ignorant lies because the truth inconveniences you.

If we are lucky, BD is about to have the epiphany some of us have been wanting for him since the early ’70s.

    keabu1 says:

We might be able to let it go if Palin would; instead, she keeps hogging the media, spinning her deluded fantasy that she is going to be the nominee in 2012. It takes neither a rocket scientist nor a brain surgeon to state categorically that this woman would be the most horrible disaster as President this country ever had (which is saying a lot after the last eight years with President Harding.)

Amazing how many people believe the liberal media is telling the truth. Palin knows a lot about how the world works; considerably more than Obama. On top of that, Palin has accomplishments she can show for her time in office. What can Obama show?
