You know that if you clone a tortoiseshell CAT, it won’t be a tortoiseshell cat ,it will either be black or “red’
Look it up. I am re-reading it for the 3rd time, their genetics are not like humans, other sources agree.
@Radish, @Rockngolfer, OK, I did some digging with the hints the two of you provided and it turns out you’re correct. In particular, quoting from a U. Minnesota Extension document:
“The seed from a Haralson apple will produce an apple tree, but it will not produce a Haralson apple tree. Likewise, the seed from a Honeygold apple will not produce a Honeygold apple tree. In other words, fruit trees cannot be reproduced “true” to the original cultivar from seed. They can only be reproduced by grafting.”
One more note about Johnny Appleseed and the apple trees…
The trees grown from seed did produce apples with flavors all over the place, but they were all good for one thing they made from the apples: hard cider.

If his career as a magician pans out, he can always start his own business as a butcher. I love rabbits too…

WebSpider, someone from here tried to start a fast food franchise serving rabbit. It failed miserably.
Rockngolfer, it’s not just the genes for any living thing, it’s how and when they are expressed.

I think it’s got something to do with real tortoiseshell cats being some kind of mutation.
I do hope those bunnies are housebroken.

Well, either it’s a magician’s hat, or Hugh Heffner has a very cold head about now.

@Radish - I find that very hard to believe. You have some sort of reference for that?
rockngolfer about 14 years ago
^ LaffnLarry One scientist said you could make a dinosaur from chicken DNA if you learn how to turn the right genes on and off
^ CoBass Radish is on the right track
Johnny Appleseed spread seeds and all kinds of different trees grew from the seeds. Farmers chose the best roots and the best apples and grafted them
