..just freakin’ put flags on their belts…head injuries, while bad and perhaps long lasting(I don’t believe in global warmer either) are just another injury and should be treated as such.Earl Campell can barely walk…he played smash mouth…Joe Paterno is on to something saying taking away the face mask..I say…go back to leather helmets..no one is going to lead with the head with those…my cousin says ever since the league didn’t make the Pat’s forfeit when they were caught cheating,he believes the games are fixed..I won’t go that far..I will say that I believe that the NFL is just an entertainment industry designed to rake in the money…all flash and no actual excitement..even at the games, the games are so boring that the stadium never leaves a second for quite time..come on’,I have actually counted them playing music on the P.A. for only ‘THREE’ seconds..as far as I am concerned the NFL is Moby Dick in his death throes…hey!that’s always fun to watch..
The shoulder pads and helmet are the most obvious ( and sometimes only) pieces of equipment worn in a game. They have grown in size and protection over the years, but the “Protection” they offer has been to afford a player to deliver a blow to another player with the least amount of discomfort. Therefor you can hit another player much harder and not hurt yourself. The equipment that actually protects the player from another player ( thigh , knee and hip pads) have have grown very little since they appeared.
Address the Offensive pads.
they should just dress in t-shirts and shorts, like the australians do. now there’s some REAL football playing.
no pansies hiding in bodyarmour, whining about getting smacked. either you win, or you leave unconcious.
