In panel three he looks more human.

If I know Tracy and the MCU, they will record the call. There may be sounds that they can identify that will help them locate Blackjack’s hideout.

I bet Sparkle sends a coded message somehow or other. BJ needs some serious time on the couch.

I think Blackjack has a genuine affection for Sparkle and will treat her kindly

Use that pen to stab that creep’s eyes out, Sparkle!

The mutual consideration and respect between Sparkle and Blackjack belies the facts; viz., that she is married to a crimefighter and that he is a bank robber who threatens but rarely if ever commits violence.

Therefore, my reading is that this “all’s well” party cannot continue without something going wrong for someone. Perhaps, as suggested above by Awcoffman, the smartphone will give the MCU the GPS info to entrap Blackjack in his “secret” hideout….

Now, if Blackjack really were a “Batman ’66”-style villain, he’d have a little spray can of Black Knockout Gas handy at all times for occasions like this.
