What’s old (news) becomes new again. Gee, if only there had been some way for Trump voters to know the sort of despicable man he has always been… oh, right, they knew, and they voted for him anyway.
Yup. These flashbacks are curated to focus on character-developent-related incidents (yay!), with extra Trump on the side. I imagine they’re going to skip over most of the strips about previous Presidents.
I think Trump is the first President GT’s had a chance to write about before he became (or ran for) President. The last, too, if we’re lucky enough.
Too bad so many trump fans bought into the idea that rich people are to be idolized for the mere fact that they are wealthy. This makes trump forever prom king. Meanwhile, there seems to be more grave news coming from N Korea this morning, while trump tweeted (seriously), that he is firing Dennis rodman. I know trump considers that a great joke but too bad he can’t find something else to do? The “humorous” trump has gotten old very fast. I think most comedians would be glad to sacrifice having trump around in the White House for a more serious person as potus.
What is to be incredulous about the money Obama made? He wrote a book; it sold well.
He didn’t set up a fake university. He didn’t stiff workers. He didn’t declare bankruptcy 6 times.
Only a complete fool or hater would put Obama in the category of “horrible people.”
Looking back at US history, I would say the opposite is true. Most men who have served as president were good and decent people truly devoted to public service.
Trump is the anomaly. He is in the category of Harding and Nixon. Men who actually saw nothing wrong with corruption in the White House.
@GanSharma No need to be so defensive! I was just using a simple, well-known and non-controversial fact about the man to illustrate how little most people knew about him.
There are lots of facts I could have used; I thought this one was the simplest, easiest to prove, and least likely to start a whole new debate.

You claimed in your deleted post that some Obama voters you spoke to in 2008 were “incredulous” when they found out that Obama had made 4m in 2007. That people are ignorant about the candidates for whom they vote, and only realize afterwards what “horrible” people they are.
Most of Trump’s supporters knew before the election what an amoral and mendacious person he was. They still voted for him. They embraced his bullying and demeaning behavior:

Isn’t that Duke’s companion Honey? When did she switch allegiances?

They skipped over a long arc starting on July 25, 1988 where Duke becomes the captain of Trump’s yacht.
