My aunt and her “too dignified to play” 8 year old dog moved in when my girl was 6 months old, and the patience of that old fellow as this puppy climbed over him and pulled his chin fur and went on until he started to play was amazing. So was my aunt’s reaction when she watched him slowly learn to play- when he’d found her, she realized, her dogs had been to old to be active with the pup. So this was his first chance to learn.
