I’ve heard references to “The Incident” before…Think we’ll ever find out what it was? Anyway, ya gotta love the tease…That’s Wiley for ya……
As a pre-high schooler I sometimes would take myself away to a quiet place on a summer day just for the exquisite pleasure of closing my eyes and listening and feeling as time passed over me, smelling the smells of summer – mown grass, hot weeds in a field, asphalt from the never-ending street paving; distant sounds muted and almost unreal, the near-by chirping of birds the only sounds real. It had a time cycle all its own, like sleep, and soon I would come back to the rest of the world. But it lingers still.

Calvin has the noodle incident, now Danae has her incident. Anymore out there we don’t know about and will we ever find out?

Considering how many unfortunate incidents there have been in Danae’s short life, the incident must have really stood out.

There was, of course, Bristow’s Tea Trolley Disaster of 1960-something.
