Model building was not my thing. While the patience and precision necessary for putting together a speedy Pinewood Derby car was within my grasp, what a mess I made out of the “Tracy on the fire escape” model. Blackjack appears to have a practiced hand, as the patrol car and Tracy model attest. I liked the unshaven look on Tracy yesterday. He should go undercover like Lee, although that famous chin would need a robust set of whiskers for him to have a chance at going incognito. It is good that Blackjack has a hobby. He may end up with a lot of time on his hands should his bank robbery land him in the slammer.
Thanks to Vista Bill, Gweedo, Night-Gaunt49, morrow, Neil Wick, Ray Toler, JPuzzleWhiz and Chris Sherlock for the kind words. Very much appreciated!
Good to see old Winston right-handing Blackjack! And Blackjack himself may be two scoops short of a milkshake, but he does understand what he is doing, why he is doing it (whether in the eyes of the law or not does not concern him), and what the consequences may be: indeed, he most positively relishes confrontation with Dick Tracy, his hero, his nemesis, his (I suspect) mirror-psyche alter ego. He is fixated, dedicated, and obligated to rob the “evil bank” and dance with Tracy!

Facts being facts they remain real, no matter how they’re spun
Pension payments now reneged, dominoes cascade begun.
Commercial and Investment Banks long time were separated
Gamblers seek a better deal. Consequences exculpated.
Repeal did come. Then gaming fun. Taxpayers foot the bill
The Hedge Men wade out past their depth, rip-tide current can kill
Pensions and declining years and legacies of the old
Imagined sweet retirement but they’ve been bought and sold.
Riches reaped for the one-percent need not be good for you
Bank defaults while shedding tears. Crocodiles sing, “boo-hoo.”
Blackjack won’t abide such sins. Tracy model now complete
He’ll rob the bank on principle, revenge shall be so sweet.
Patrol car rests upon the shelf, a cherry perched on top
Blackjack obsessive and then some about the square-chinned cop.
Should he meet up with Tracy, celebrate a banner day
Dick Tracy is his hero who believes crime does not pay.

Not sure what the Tracy model is, but I do have the cop car and two targets.

Looks pretty much like a NY Times typical headline…… (we don’t need no stinkin’ trial) Shouldn’t the bank be charged and have a trial first?

Ah. So bank robbery can be fun with the right adversary.

Where do you get those models that are already painted before you put them together?

Blackjack should make a YouTube video showing off his collection, including those recently signed by Sparkle Plenty Tracy!
