Overkill sends a kid in to tapdance for him - waiting to tell him that that’s his job until he’s already on the plane - and the KID is the coward? Too funny!

So, either Overkill’s a delusional nutcase, or for some dark plan he’s setting Jeff up to be some sort of fall guy.

In real life (or as real as life can get in these circumstances,) either way Jeff would be dead meat. However, since all of this occurs in the mind of Garry Trudeau Jeff will probably somehow come out of it. You will note that those notable “Doonesbury” characters who have died have never died violently.

You can say nasty things to spammer comments until the cows come home, but unless you’re doing it for personal entertainment, you’re wasting your time. They don’t read responses. The entire point of spamming is the tiny fraction of a percent of shopper response they get from viewers.

If GoComics wanted to slow this down some, they’d put a several day hold on new unpaid accounts before anyone could comment.

These same yahoos are spamming the Miami Herald, the Chicago Sun Times and, to a lesser extent (the people there must have figured something out to stop it) USA Today. The only thing that will stop them is a series of DDoS attacks on their servers, which I heartily encourage but wouldn’t participate in.

…and they are spamBOTS, which means computers are sending them out. I highly doubt it’s actual humans doing this…a spambot can easily be programmed to change its ‘user’ name and sign in again.

I just popped over to see the Birthday information for Doonesbury. I am usually over on Pibgorn - and one member there asked about being stared at by all the Doonesbury characters…he found Duke’s stare somewhat unnerving!
