Private contractors and Congress are getting very wealthy off our youth dying, our tax dollars and the lives of people in foreign countries. But at least they are creating the next generation of terrorists they will have to deal with (for more money)
@Sandflea: What Military Industrial Complex? It’s no longer complex when the big players are down to just three or four corporations with at MOST a hundred subcontractors. I would also bet many of the Boards of Directors have the same people on them.
It is very interesting that most senators and congressmen and women, or this president, have NEVER served their country or have any understanding of what the armed forces are, what they do or what they DON’T do.
Ironically, the Pentagon has said repeatedly that they don’t WANT all this new stuff. What they have works fine. Congress, on the other hand, has to keep Haliburton happy.
Shows a fundamental lack of understanding on how attrition wars work. There is no “strategic” military solution to insurgencies, just lots of killing of insurgents until either everyone so inclined is dead, or they get tired of dying.

That’s not all they do. Ask to see their selection of coffins, from adult to infant-sized. Synergy!

Where do you think that military budget goes? To arms makers who over charge and under perform, just like our president.

Parachute all “defense” CEOs into Raqqa, with an M-4 and the defective body armor they sold for the troops!
