I know her by name, and recognize she is talented, but know nothing about her, so this one went right over my head.

When a cartoonist does something like this (referencing a singer or actor or movie, tv show, etc), there are a lot of us who won’t get it.

Some of the comments reveal how out of touch readers are. If it was some stupid Star Wars reference, no problem but something that is current, duh! My compliant is Adele ain’t that big dude!

I’ll trot out a reference to Zeppelin, Bowie, the Beatles, etc., and most people here will get it, but for many, they were before their time.

I was caught a little off guard the other day when “Give peace a chance” had to be explained to some. But here, this is actually of our time right now, and I only have a basic awareness of Adele, and not of any specific songs. So I try to remind myself that it cuts both ways.

I thought Adelle was the woman having her fortune told or Madame Finnucci’s real name.

Only Adele is dimwitted enough to dial someone up one-thousand times without a return call.

Ah, the stalker song. STOP CALLING ME, ADELE!!! IF I WANTED TO TALK YOU I’D HAVE PICKED UP ABOUT 200 CALLS AGO!!!

That is just undeniably Adele. What a striking resemblance!

She stole the idea from Lionel Richie.

I think she’s communicating with Lionel Richie’s great grandmother.
