Sorry, Calvin, they didn’t leave a forwarding address.

When I was six, my family moved, but I found them anyway.

When I left home for college, my family moved! So the next time when I came to visit them, I literally had to have one of my cousins take me to the new address. As they say: “you can’t go back home”!

He’s really going to leave Hobbes to his own devices?

Poor Calvin! Dang, this is the first time I’ve actually felt sorry for the little guy! My compliments to Mr. Watterson on this strip and this story arc!

Well Calvin, since you’ve gone off the deep end with the potential scenarios… here’s one you didn’t think of: they could have had another baby!

I’m sure this comment has been made before, but I was too lazy to check. Calvin returns home to find Mom arrested for letting her kid “free range” without a parent within two feet of him.

Calvin may not take his parents for granted for a while anyway.

Calvin’s finding out the hard way that no matter how big and bad you may think you are, a little boy always needs his mommy!

When I was in the Navy, my parents moved to another town. I knew they moved, but I didn’t have their address. It was a small town and I did find them, but they swore that they had sent me their address. I still don’t think that they sent it to me.

I love it when Calvin acts like a real kid, crying for his Mom. I also love it when he acts like an old cynic with an extensive vocabulary

Mom will say, “You were gone?”
