I have a possible solution for the spam. Everyone would have to sign up again but you would be required to provide the last 4 numbers of your s.s. and a valid credit or debit card. Any day a spammer gets more than a certain number of flags, say 10 per strip, they get charged a set amount, say $5, until they stop. No valid card, no posting.
