I remember renting a VCR and a movie. From the town cinema. The VCR was as thick as a suitcase and weighed a ton.

I’ve been watching 30 year old reruns of “The $25,000 Pyramid” on GSN and one of the bonus prizes they gave away were VCRs. I remember how much I wanted one back then but they cost about $700.

Back when I was still a young pup we rented a VCR from a video store. As I recall they had a deal where if you rented a VCR and a movie you got a second movie rental free, so I decided to rent one called “Microwave Massacre” as a goof. Needless to say my blushing bride was NOT impressed.

How times have changed. The movie has been remade as “Cannibal Flight Attendant Vixens Unchained” and is available on Netflix.

Siskel and Ebert gave it one thumbs up, one thumbs down.

Anything can be an Educational experience, the question is it Good, Bad or a Mediocre experience!
