Well for much of the current crop of politicians those are what they consider to be Positive traits. They don’t much care how the rest of us view those traits.
Please say that to John McCain and see how it feels. Just because our current President is throwing challenges at our system left, right and center doesn’t mean that ALL politicians are incompetent and unfeeling. Public service is a sacrifice and a life-style. Teachers, postal workers, the Veteran’s Administration, politicians, librarians and those in the armed services all serve for the benefit of others. And they all get maligned at one point or another. But, there ARE mostly good people out there, trying to help. While I understand the frustrations and fears most of us are experiencing these days, let’s not throw all the blame on all politicians. If you think about it, we’re the ones who voted, so let’s take the responsibility for our action, or inaction, and deal with it. Besides, our current President isn’t really a politician. He’s a business man. And he certainly isn’t politic. Perhaps, then, politicians aren’t the problem.
Speaking of John McCain, I heard that he got off his well furnished sick bed long enough to deny the ordinary people who may be working two jobs to keep afloat, the health care that we have now.He made tRump happy but scored NO points for throwing the rest of us under the bus.If any of you who will not be able to see Drs., and not be able to buy needed prescriptions like what will happen to me, these senators don’t deserve to be called Men, they are indeed Cruel, callused, meatbags of vile evil who will cause the deaths of many Americans. Diabetics won’t be able to get insulin, they re talking that women don’t need maternity care. Mentally ill will not be able to take their meds and so many more losses.
OK, I get that this is “just a comic strip”, and is being played entirely for laughs…but I don’t like the idea of Gracie being taught such negative views about the world. As a teen, Baldo is expected to be cynical and bitter, but there’s still hope for Gracie, isn’t there?

Guys like Putin would love for us Americans to get rid of the politicians and create a dictatorship he can deal with. It’s not going to happen.

That only works for one person, our present president, not for anyone else.
