There’s an episode of ‘The Adventures of Superman’ titled “The Face and The Voice” where George Reeves – in a dual role – plays an imposter who resembles the Man of Steel, but needs to lose his Brooklyn-style accent, which he does by continuously repeating this phrase to the rhythm of a metronome …
“I look like Superman, why don’t I sound like Superman.”
Question: if Sprocket and Silver were wearing prison issue jumpsuits, how did they mysteriously recover their old clothes, ie Sprocket’s hippie-style shredded jeans and sagging sweater? I’d think when Silver presents her to a “mark”, her appearance would cause some real problems for them.
Locher was a giant in cartooning, and that’s how we all viewed him. We were honored when we were awarded the strip, and we knew we had a tough act to follow. Dick was pleased when his name was prominent in our first Sunday strip as the action moved to the Locher Auditorium. We spoke with and consulted with Dick several times, and managed to surprise him with a birthday greeting in the strip. He was our mentor and will sorely be missed.
And from Ross Fletcher, whose father drew Dick Tracy :

“So far, so good.” So it seems. So, are we to believe that this satisfaction of Domain is really so? And that the slick sibling scammers are off scot-free?
I don’t think so! “Mr. Cooper” isn’t done, yet, I warrant….

Mr. Domain seems suitably impressed by their work so far. I guess that can only be good for the Nitrates.

Curious. Since no one really knows how Lincoln’s voice really sounded, how could Domain know?

This marks 3 weeks since Dick Tracy has appeared in his own strip.
