Mr. Fairweather looks a bit squiffed. One wonders if Heather is being set up for another show trial. Who’s paying for the attorney? Was he selected because he seems to be less than competent?
But will she trust a canine……they are related to Lupus. It’s a good line of questioning. Doing the crime is proven by witness…….now the search is for motive. How did it come to this. And Diat is right…..that is gentle grilling. Quite professional. Good interviewing technique.
The ragged tails to his speech balloons suggests Fenrick Fairweather speaks with a gruff voice. (Note that I didn’t say “hoarse voice”. I’m not looking for smart comebacks.)
I’m starting to get the feeling that the two storylines (pigs/wolves and fake food shortage) may have less in common than it originally seemed. One is obviously “feeding” (npi) the other, but I’m starting to get the feeling that the disappearing pigs are an item of opportunism on someone’s part and, at the core, unconnected to the plot to oust Jake. Curiouser and curiouser….. ;-)
Could be, but not likely. The one missing tooth is Probably, a coincidence. I thought maybe the pig was to take Holly’s place, but maybe this guy is to take Wally’s place.p -———————————————-OOPS! I fell asleep. Good nite to all.

Heh the duck has his black eye still. Shouldn’t surprise me, but it’s a nice detail.

I hope he’s more of a Columbo type so that his appearance just throws his adversaries off right before he goes in for the kill.

Having said that, I’m already starting to warm to this character, even at this early stage.

Sounds like he is either timmid, or just woke up.

@Jenner & Tue Elung-Jensen: Either that, or possibly drunk.

That’s not to take away the possibility he may be a very competent attorney.

He has quite a large furry tail peeking out from that trench coat.

The duck-billed cop in Panel Four looks like he’s got a black eye.
