Heck, I actually attended an NCAA game (Memphis at Arkansas State) that was postponed to a different date because of thunderstorms! The NCAA/NFHS rules require a 30 minute delay if there’s lightning in the area. So, there’s proof that college and high school officials can see lightning and hear thunder! (grin)
