Unfortunately George is going nowhere fast. Ginger knew this when she married him but since he claimed to be an author, and that sounded romantic, she said IDo.

Then he got fired from his day job as a garbage collector ( he would read other people’s mail for ideas) and decided to write full time.

Ginger now works at the Ballard Cleaners and Fertilizer Emporium. She still has high hopes, alas.

So this is how JVA works it out?

Hey Dennis, is that the new Puce Polka Dot Fabric that Ginger is wearing? Nice!

George is forgetting that the sitting-under-the-tree bit has already been done … twice. And one of the times required seven years.

Not seeing any notes in George’s pad. Writer’s block.

George does have five toes on each foot, a detail omitted in many comic strips.

George has become rooted in immobility but I can’t reveal on this forum what has taken root.

George looks like he’s still creatively juiced. Maybe an aftereffect from too much indulgence at the Tiki last night?

It looks as though the journey is becalmed. George needs a little something to put some wind in his sails. Perhaps Ling, in his great wisdom, knows of or even has access to a remedy.

He brought too much baggage on his journey.

George is going to take a sentimental journey. It will be to the moon when he realizes that he sat on a fireant mound.

George looks very discouraged. He also seems to be pouting.

It’s hard for George to imagine himself in a tropical paradise when Ginger is so sarcastic.

Life’s a beach !

George needs a bra.

He lost his ticket…

He’s sitting under the tree hoping for enlightenment.
