Sometimes I wonder if I’d be better off if my office was in a solarium, windows all around letting natural light in and letting me see the world. Then sometimes I wonder if I’d be better off in a windowless basement bunker, where I couldn’t see what I was missing. As one of my favorite truisms goes, it ain’t the despair that gets you, it’s the hope.
I’d probably be more productive in the bunker and happier in the solarium, and it doesn’t matter, because I’m too happy and not productive enough to have time to move out of my converted bedroom, with two modest windows that are almost always bogarted by cats anyway.

When you’re stuck inside, the weather is even nicer.

At least when I was in school, the windows could be opened.

Unfortunately it has been Fall-like weather for weeks. Still hoping to get some Summer before it’s actually over.

This strip definitely not set in Florida, let alone Puerto Rico.

But, but, but, summer’s not over! It doesn’t end until the 22nd.

The cool front has giving us in Texas a break. Lowered the all important humidity, and it is in the 60’s at night. Wonderful.

Childhood memories — a cold, wet Summer followed by a week of hot sunshine right after Labor Day!
