Scott, we HAVE a Republican president. His name is Trump.

He was elected by the Republicans and they follow him in virtual lockstep. Three Senate Republicans only will not vote for the repeal and replace Obamacare, while the Republican house will overwhelmingly vote for it.

And most Republicans still believe he is on their side.

    .

In a way, you Republicans are unlucky that Trump was elected. If Hillary had been elected, the Republican legislature would have already repealed Obamacare 25 times.

No, Carmen, Trump is Republiclan through and through. Everything the Rs have done for the last three decades have lead to him. Little Hands is the essence of your philosophy, cruel, avaricious, greedy, power-hungry, self-centered and mean. If he worked with Chuck and Nancy, it was only because he wanted to stick it to Mitch and Paul.

The Republicans can’t do anything because they are scared to actually be held responsible for any decisions.

They voted to repeal Obamacare FIFTY TIMES when they knew the repeal would never actually become law. And that’s WHY they voted to repeal it. Now, their vote actually matters, so they’re frozen with fear of the backlash. It’s pathetic.

As for Trump, he is an utterly hollow man, with no principles whatsoever, and nothing but a bottomless need to have his ego stroked. Pelosi and Schumer? He works with PUTIN because Putin flattered him!

I am amazed that no one has called out John McCain. With his deteriorating health, people keep expecting him to vote for repealing even a fraction of the health care available to him as a member of Congress. // Yes, Democrats were upset with him when he voted to allow debate on repeal, but Republicans have pounced on him now that he has voted against the actual repeal. // I have heard the sickening sounds of Republicans begging, even demanding, that John McCain step aside so that they can take health care away from lesser Americans. // (“lesser” for wont of a better word)

While we’re stirring the anthill, I, for one, consider “taking the knee” an entirely reverent and respectful way of making a point during the national anthem. If they sit on the bench, that would seem disrespectful to both the flag – and their cause. But kneeling? Come on! That is appropriate! // Now, let’s try to figure out how all these unarmed people of color keep ending up dead.

Yes, Carmen, once there was a republican President. His name was Eisenhower. Reagan? Raised taxes and signed pro-abortion bills. Bush? Tax increases. bush? Unnecessary wars. trump? Who the hell knows what he is politically?

I’m not a Republican. I AM a fiscal conservative, and I know if we don’t carefully regulate our expenditures, we’ll wish we had. Would you let your 10 year old kid loose with your credit cards? Many purchases would be fun, nice to have, or even labor saving, but if you don’t prioritize and buy them all at once, you’ll go bankrupt.
