I would respect the players’ opinions if they would spend their own money on public service ads on television and in other media instead of using a venue that costs them nothing – - so far.
As a Canadian, maybe I don’t fully understand the impact of kneeling instead of standing; but as a Christian, I view kneeling as a gesture of reverence.

An alternative would be to just keep the cameras on the one singing th e national anthem, and not on what the players are doing.
