OMG, Arlo — you’re a dead man!

Arlo will be following in the steps of Onan.

This likely will not end well for Arlo.

An old line is that “men get better looking as they age.” Yeah, right. I’m really sure that Arlo is better looking now than before although Janis is not. Yeah, right.

Why should she be upset? (other than she’s a woman and its been 3.473 minutes since her last emotion) All Arlo did was agree with her and say that she was 100% right.

My answer would have been “Yes, dear, we both did” and we’d both smile and move on.

What brought that one? Early senility?

And Arlo thinks…uh oh, did I just say that out loud!!

Y I K E S! That was really out of character. Must be setting up a gag for tomorrow.

If he’s smart, Arlo will next say, “Why don’t you wear hot dresses like those anymore?”

Sure hope that couch is comfy.

Might as well start moving some pillows to the couch, Arlo.

Arlo has a talent for putting his foot in his mouth. I wonder what Jimmy Johnson’s inspiration is.

Guess who is sleeping on the couch.

I love that comment by Arlo – cannot understand the entire scrapbooking phenomena.

Ouch!

No. He won’t have to sleep on the sofa. But an even worse fate awaits. For months it will be, “Don’t look at me.” Locked bathroom doors during bath time. Mu-mus. Flannel floor length night gowns. He’d better hang on to albums. They’re all the visual stimulation he’ll be getting. (And who sleeps on the sofa, anyway. If she wants to sleep elsewhere, she can. But I’m staying in the bed.)

Wonder if the neighbors dog doesn’t mind moving over. He is in the doghouse for sure.

In case you haven’t noticed, Janis has the bad habit of denigrating her appearance, to which, of course, Arlo always objects. Maybe this time, he’s trying a little reverse psychology.

Arlo, now’s the time to try out those new, fitted sheets for the sofa…

Hope that sofa is comfy!

Of course she looked better when she was younger. But he is not supposed to notice.

He’s not supposed to acknowledge it.

09/26/2017 – the comic strip is renamed ‘Janis.’ Rest in peace, Arlo.

That ranks right up there with ‘yeah, that dress makes you look fat’. Correct reply is to note that she is like a fine wine and improves with age, just be sure to omit the part about settling to the bottom.

Judging by the look on Janis’ face, my first post should have been “Cry “Havoc!” and let slip the dogs of war…”
