Since it’s used we’ll bill only half of its value to your insurance company, $100.00 instead of the $200.00 going rate. By the way would you like some $50.00 pain reliever?
My mother had a hysterectomy in the late ’60’s and the doc left a small sponge behind. Later it manifested into an infection and the same doctor determined what had happened. All my mom asked for was for the hospital foot the bill. No lawyers, no other money involved. This was when civility still had a place and greed hadn’t become the mainstay. Mistakes happen and when all parties are honest good results can happen.

If the sponge had been left in his head, his IQ might have gone up.
