You’re telling the wrong person Liz, he won’t help you. You’ll have to stand up to your mother and tell her it’s your kitchen and you want things your way and she’ll have to live with that.
That’s simply not true. It’s still HER kitchen and always will be. Why should the host allow their guests to take over the house? Doesn’t make a lick of sense.
I have this battle with my m-i-l every time she visits and wants to take over the kitchen. Don’t get me wrong, she is a singular cook, but I can never find anything after she leaves.
