    Only an irresponsible idiot (male or female) would ignore such a call. However, she should have wondered how the school knew where to find her and what phone number to call.

    And what if she had said, “I can’t take this now – have them call me back.” NO parent would say that. If a school calls, it’s an emergency. The real test would have been SPEAKING to her on the phone as though you are a teacher/administrator and see how she handles it.
