My cousin has Facebook. So guess what he does when someone or many ones send them birthdays via emails: He click on the email addresses, go to the top of it, and click “Mark as Read”. And that takes care of that.
I enjoy Facebook, however I still send real greeting cards via the old snail mail to family members. I know how I feel when someone actually send me a real card in the mail, so I return the favor.
The secret with Facebook is to keep your friends list small….close friends & relative only. It’s so nice to keep in touch with my large family & see pictures of their travels and such. I don’t get birthday notices from anyone except ones on my friends list….
A few times it took 3 days for me to hear about something happening in my family. When I called my son and told him he said he knew that a few days before from a friend or other family member on Facebook, yet no one could call me and tell me on my phone.

As a Facebook user myself, there are times I don’t wish any of my friends a happy birthday to those who seem to be rarely on.

We have Jacquie Lawson’s e-cards. They send you a reminder, but only the people you personally listed. Not the entire known universe.

The only good thing about Facebook is that it keeps the intellectually-challenged busy and away from more harmful behavior. sometimes.

I got bored with Facebook, so I de-activated my account. The worst was all the political crap I kept seeing.

Facebook is like a prison cell. You spend all day looking at boring walls and getting poked by strangers.

I wished a colleague a Happy Birthday on Facebook today. I think it’s a nice feature to have.
