We have a Japanese channel that shows scientific things for kids. They had a short film showing slow motion footage of border collies catching frisbees. The question was ‘how do the dogs know when to turn and jump?’ The scientists studied the sound waves created by flying frisbees and decided the dogs located them by sound.
Our dog won’t chase anything. He figured out long ago that he can’t catch squirrels, and he looks at Frisbees and sticks with a “You threw it; you go get it” expression.

Love this strip. It reminds me of something.

Consider how boring life was for dogs before Wham-O invented the Frisby!

Our Flat Coated Retriever loves to frisbee, but now that she’s 5 it’s five or six throws and she’s all done.
