My little girl is frequently found in the 2nd panel position. I refer to it as “security system activated”. She’s a schnauzer, so she finds plenty of offenders to bark at, (cars, children playing, leaves blowing, small animals scampering, etc.) I’ve found I get better results when I go in and thank her for protecting me than when I scream at her to pipe down from the other room.
Reminds me of our Lab, Alex who would sit in the chair by the big front window and go ballistic when he saw “Bandit” (the dog next door) tinkling on the green box on the walkway….he wanted us to open the door so he could do the same and be the last one that did it. The two dogs were a hoot with being the last one to go on it!

Our dog has taken it into his head that he now has enough seniority to get into the recliner. Hubby respectfully disagrees.

My girl is tall enough, and my front window is low enough that Sweetheart doesn’t need a anything to stand on.
