That looks like it’ll give a real comfortable ride.

Another technology whose leadership we have ceded to other nations. Not that we can, or should, try to be the global leader in every field. But leadership is not sustained by sitting on your laurels or your hands. It requires long-term investment of $$$$, sometimes in research with no known commercial value. That means especially government funds, that don’t need to show a ROI for everything they do.

I haven’t been it Italy, but many times in Germany. This looks like the ICE train…yes, they go very fast and they are great. Now I want to try to Bullet Train in Japan! —-I wish beyond words that we would bring back a supersonic rail system. In fact, living here in SW Florida, we don’t have trains…just defunct railroad tracks from a better era gone by. >sigh<

I love to go by train! My grandfather worked for B&O and he and my grandmother took my sister and me all over the place. Nothing like it!

I thought they were in Milan yesterday.

We just got back from a month in Italy. Were these guys following us? We’re enjoying re-living our holiday through Betty’s eyes. Keep’em coming!!!

I hope more Californians see this strip as there is a lot of controversy about building a high speed line between San Francisco and San Diego.
