I just left mine up. After two years the brutal Southern California summer got to them and about half quit working. (Like about half of the people around here). Anyway, today I went to The Home Depot and bought new ones. I wish it were that easy with people.
He DID put them away neatly. They do that on their own once you turn out the light. I finally got a prelit tree because of trying to untangle them no matter how neatly I stored them.
Actually, I LIKE untangling things (for other people). I have untangled Christmas lights, necklaces, yarn, embroidery floss, most anything that can get tangled. Maybe I should rent out my skills. :o)

That’s no guarantee either. When you assemble it and get two female plugs facing each other is expletive-deleted event.
