On the contrary, I believe that Faith is extremely empowering. By the simple act of Faith, by acknowledging my inability to be perfect and placing my Faith in a power that is greater and more loving than I can ever be, I am set free. All that is needed is to acknowledge that I am a sinner (by the way, we ALL are, whether we like to admit it or not), repent (say that I am sorry, but also realizing that I am not perfect, and am still a slave to my sin nature), acknowledge that Jesus is the Son of God, and that he died for our sins so that we can be made acceptable to a perfect God, and accept His Son Jesus as our personal savior, we are set free! What can be more empowering than that? A simple act of Faith. There is no “good enough”. We can’t attain it through acts – it’s there for the taking if we can just take it by Faith, and Faith alone.
