Writing letters to red-headed women could be risky, may I suggest using red ink for your letter, that way they know, you know what it means to be red on the head. Trust me, very romantic.
No name. Just “Little Red Haired Girl”. Does he have her address or would have addressed the letter: “Whatever part of the country she moved to,” or “Somewhere out West.” Oh, the simplicity of a comic strip.

I’ve written notes like that. They never get finished, for some reason.

And therein is the differences in the generations. Then, you write a letter, you read it and reflect upon it. Does it say what you wanted it to say.

Nights in white satin
Never reaching the end
Letters I’ve written
Never meaning to send
Beauty I’ve always missed
With these eyes before
Just what the truth is
I can’t say any more
’Cause I love you
Yes I love you
Oh how I love you

I knew a guy in college who mailed a letter like that. Judging from what I heard about his experience, let’s just say it’s best to toss them out.
