Buying (masc): The act of entering a store, picking up the required product in the correct size, completing the purchase and leaving the store.
Shopping (fem): The act of entering a store, trying on everything in it and leaving without a purchase.
They’re the same, except for the attitude and approach……
Some times, I have to shop. Last weekend, I needed new gloves and had to visit four stores before I found any that fit.
I am a buyer not a shopper. I figure out what I need, make sure the store has it, go in, get it, pay for it and get out. I HATE shopping.
I’m married to that rare bird…a man who likes to shop.
If they have yet to go to Florence, does that mean Sunday’s comic was a future dream sequence ?
