I like that he waited patiently for Nancy to check if she could, in fact, see her dentist.

should have specified guy….now she doesnt’ have to worry about “seeing” her dentist for another six months!

Doctors love to have you come in 3-4 times a year…..more money….I go when needed!

I’ve just realized that Nancy and the gang live in the USSR! Witness the TV not showing entertainment but rather spewing dentist propaganda. AND the ready availability of binoculars to use for spying on one’s neighbors. More evidence – the out-of-date and behind the times decor, autos and electronics. Pure USSR circa 1970! What I can’t tell is whether or not Bushmiller was a commie sympathizer. On one hand, he does make it all fun but on the other it’s drawn as a place where no one would want to live – especially Sluggo who appears to be in a gulag. I’ll never again be able to read ‘Nancy’ as just a simple attempt at humor.

Nancy’s dentist is some neighborhood guy who found a chair by the curb one day.

Used to see mine weekly. We sang in a couple choirs together.

I like it that the guy on TV seems to be listening to her.
