Aaaand the Friday cliff hanger while we wait to see if Walt is able to prevent her suicide a second time. Though it seems the way the current political/community winds are blowing it might be more merciful for her to jump to avoid a lengthy hideous fate. :(
If she dies, will that shock the community into reassessing what’s really going on?
This is the blind masses talking, and a deep-rooted failing of the culture Endtown is based on. The well-being of a citizen isn’t their culture’s first priority. Even then, true justice requires the restraint and reason to see all angles of a matter in their full nature without violence. You don’t get that out of an unregulated crowd such as Endtown.
Lasting stability will require two things. Good people have to do at least a few bad things to initially get the situation under control. Then, there needs to be a prevalent reminding force that never lets people forget the consequences of their own actions. Those who don’t re-assess their motivations [or simply don’t care]… Well, oppression will only go so far. One way or another, much of Endtown is going to die before this is done.
My guess moving forward? It’s back into the outside world for Walt, Heather and perhaps Dotty. I think it’s time to find Wally and call in some kind of outside force to accomplish those two missions.
Just like in our culture where reality is having no person in a leadership position that has the welfare of common man in mind at all, and where our very needs are ignored by the very one who are meant to be our guides and to an extent our guardians when in effect what we have is a group trying to gain control of our very way of thinking, to make us Think that they care.

Where is she? It looks like an elevator shaft to me but I don’t think that’s right.

If she times this right, she may take out another wolf or two. If she keeps quiet on the way down…

I don’t see him arriving in time. And when someone wants to die they will find a way.
