It’s the same with a Major League Baseball game.

The only reason to go to a movie theater these days is to watch things blow up that are too big to fit in your living room. :)

I haven’t been to a movie theater since around the mid-1990’s.

It makes no sense to me that people are willing to pay the exorbitant prices for movie tickets and concerts when there is so much entertainment available for a small fraction of the cost delivered right into their living rooms. A night out at the local movie house to see the latest blockbuster was justified in the days of 25" blurry TV screens but then ticket prices were much cheaper back then. But nowadays, those flicks will find their ways to HBO or Showtime for viewing on our big screen HD TVs with all the comforts … and eats…. of home. The only possible plausible explanation for paying big bucks to see movies at the local cinema is bragging rights. Go figure.
