I did a cartoon here a few years back explaining that most of the figures in the nativity had been replaced over the years. Santa was standing in for a Wise Guy.
Where I am it’s been warm and snowless. Last night I saw my neighbors, the Sheppards, in their yard , waving their arms slowly. Took me a while to see that the Sheppards were flocking their yard by night.

That is one heckuva back story! Gives us some insight into the performer’s motivation for the part.

There is actually no proof in the Bible that there WERE three wise men.

The shepherds’ names were Finnegan, O’Shaunessy, Callahan, and McDougle. Hey, it makes as much sense as Gaspar, Melchior, and Balthazar.

Is he called Skippy because he’s got one leg?
