I had never thought about ducks doing that, though I guess it happens…..it is water, after all. I’ve always said that a person wouldn’t eat anything from anywhere if they knew where the food came from and what it went through before ending up on a plate in front of them.

I’m sure the ducks would prefer clean water , and the hunter, a clean duck. Clark you really should consider a new location. Your sludge pond view sounds most unpleasant and could be affecting your mood. Feel better.

That looks more like a tern or a gull than a duck.
