Vero: Teachers don't have huge budgets for materials, smarty! We have to laminate everything to keep it in good condition- so things last longer! Vero: Eddie, could you look inside the laminator? I dropped something... Eddie: Where? Laminate!!! Eddie: You could have poked airholes. Vero: That defeats the purpose!!!

My guess is John McCain made a big stink over âLaminating Machines for Schoolsâ by putting it on his Top 10 outrageous earmarks list.
(The proposal was withdrawn in committee for 8 consecutive years until it finally passed in 2009.)

I didnât know that âLAMINATE!!!â was the sound that laminators made.
