I’ll never forget that glorious New Year’s Eve when I danced for hours and hours…
with Fred Astaire, on TCM, in my imagination, while my husband snored the night away on the couch…
I’ve pouted and joked about that lonely New Year’s Eve (one of many) so much, that now my husband makes sure he stays awake at least until 12:30, just to shut me up.
(It doesn’t. The kvetching has just become a holiday tradition. Ya gotta treasure those precious memories!)

The last New Year’s eve ‘party’ I was at was Y2K. I was in IT and upper management was freaking about everything; not that they were at work mind you.
