I know a guy who has spent a lot of his life wishing he had a sailboat, but as far as I know learned to tie a total of three knots: windsor, four-in-hand and shoelaces. I don’t know if he really didn’t want the sailboat but felt a need to wish for something, or if he did want a sailboat but not as much as he didn’t want to make the changes sailboats make you make, or if he really really really wanted a sailboat but knew it wasn’t ever going to happen so the hell with it.
I know a few people who love the song “White Christmas” and don’t own long underwear. They’re even harder to figure out.

My memory of the Hollywood version is the song mostly being sung in a snow-filled foxhole in the Ardennes Forest, so dreaming of a Florizona Christmas would be more believable!
I’ll take a white Xmas any time…better then the below zero (BEFORE THE WIND CHILL) weather we have right now. With snow you shovel off the driveway and sidewalk and you can build snowmen and be outside and go do stuff. When it’s double digits below zero I just want to stay inside under the covers.

Well, the lyric does say dreaming of a white Christmas. Doesn’t include dreaming of a snow blower, ice in the gutters, or slick streets.

‘Florizona’, very funny.

Sure it’s romantic, but is it practical?

Well, the song is actually sung in Beverly Hills. That’s the point.

It all depends on whether you’re sitting in a sled and being pulled or are shoveling the front steps and the driveway.

We don’t normally get white Christmases in central Ohio, but we had one this year, and I had to drive home from church in it. Today, it’s 15 degrees.

Caulfield thinks he has made a funny kind of discovery. Frazz made a joke off of it.
