To survive we will need to eat less meat. We will just have to since cutting down the rain forest destroys more use than the weak grass lands it leaves.
I try to eat only vegetarian cows. Some of them may be vegan, but that’s not so important to me. I also eat lest than half as much meat as the average American. If all Americans did that it would be as good as half of us eating no meat at all and a more realistic goal.

I remember as a kid in the 50’s my family didn’t eat meat every meal or even every day. Mostly because of the expense. My mom and grandma always had delicious food on the table though and the expectation of fried chicken on sunday was awesome. Meatloaf and roast beef occasionally and an evening breakfast were always treats but we never felt underserved when it was mac-n-cheese or boiled potatoes and greens from our gardens. Most of my friends were the same. I don’t know how we ever got in such a bad habit as requiring meat every meal.

Yep, the cow was vegan, along with the salsa and vegetables and cheese— okay, that’s the second problem with trying to go vegan!

he IS a special vegetarian – a ‘once removed’ vegetarian. He only eats animals that are vegetarians.
