Mom’s not going to fall for that old trick — again.
Temperature doesn’t matter if it’s a poisonous gas.
The first two panels should be sent to every politician in the land.
It’s the “way, way” part that tips her off.
The second to last panel reminds me of a joke…
A young couple on safari were capture by a tribe of cannibals.
They were cooked in a vat of boiling 7 Up.
The cannibals ate everything except their things.
Why didn’t they eat their things?!?
Because things go better with Coke.
Don’t think Spiff’s tricks will do much good.
Yesterday we lost another great cartoonist. RIP Mort Walker creator of Beetle Bailey and Hi and Lois.

When a Sunday strip like this one was first published, I used to put my hand over the last panel then try to figure out how Spiff’s predicament equated to Cal’s real life predicament. This was one I did figure out.
“But aside from that, it’s not much like Earth.” Buuuuurn!
