Hey guys, I’m back from my holiday. I arrived back in Melbourne yesterday and I’ve had a chance to read the strips and the comments I missed, especially the sublime exposure of 7 o’ clock. Anyway a strip related comment. How can Nate not see Gina with a notepad and a pencil, if she was going to detention she would probably cry the Pacific ocean. XD

May Mr.Peirce be able to sort out his problems. I don’t care about the reruns, im ready to wait as long as needed. Anyways, Back to the strip, Wouldn’t this be Gina’s 2nd detention IF she had actually got detention.

Gina would’ve earned detention because for some reason, Mrs. Czerwicki enforced a sign of no talking (panel one) and look what they’re both doing.

I find it funny how the “NO TALKING” sign only appears in panel one — when Nate isn’t talking. After he starts talking to Gina, the sign disappears.

She would be in trouble if that actually got in the school newspaper

The whole point of being in detention is to act as a future deterrent (it doesn’t really work on Nate, though) so students in detention should not be allowed any source of entertainment. Having Gina talk to Nate is something different from a normal mundane hour in detention and could be slightly entertaining (at least Nate wouldn’t just be sitting there doing nothing and the students in detention around Nate would also be entertained). The school should make Gina interview Nate before or after his detention to ensure the maximum deterring effect of his detention.

Nate, you need to learn that Gina will never get detention.

Rerun week 3. Personally, I don’t think this week is as good as the last few weeks. It had some funny moments, my favourites being Jan 18 and 19, but other strips such as 15, 16 and 17 I didn’t really enjoy. This might be because their reruns, but I just didn’t really when I saw them. Many of the jokes were basic, like having a sarcastic face or miserable face at the end, and the chester strip was exactly like every other stripOverall-6/10

Gina should be asking herself the same question! LOL!

In high school I was issued a detention for being a well behaved student. My 2nd period teacher accused me of skipping class on a day I’d been home sick. Turns out my 1st period teacher had assumed I’d never skip class so she’d started automatically marking me “present” without checking that I was actually there first. The detention was cancelled.
