When I was a little boy and asking “why?” a lot, if my Dad didn’t know the answer, he would always reply “Just to make little boys like you ask questions.” I still remember it, and that was almost 90 years ago!
My father’s favorite retort was: " Look it up in the encyclopedia, that I spent so much money for ! "
